Democrat Party Turns 33 – BRTK

Democrat Party celebrates its 33^rd anniversary.

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment, and Party Leader Fikri Ataoğlu, along with Party General Secretary Serhat Akpınar, issued a message on the occasion, stating that the party will continue to serve the people.

In his message, Secretary General Serhat Akpınar said that the Democrat Party quickly became the voice, heart, and conscience of the Turkish Cypriot people.

Akpınar also noted that the DP has played a vital role in strengthening the democratic culture of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and in enhancing the social welfare of its people.

Party Leader Fikri Ataoğlu stated that the party would continue to serve the public in line with the principles inherited from Founding Leader Rauf Raif Denktaş.

Underlining that the DP was a rooted political movement that has taken part in the TRNC’s struggle for democracy, Ataoğlu stressed that the party’s core values — national unity and solidarity, democratic pluralism, social justice, and Turkish Cypriot sovereignty — would continue to guide their path.

“We will keep taking visionary steps to carry the existence, culture, and freedom of the Turkish Cypriot people into the future while maintaining our strong bonds of brotherhood with motherland Türkiye” he added.

Ataoğlu concluded by saying, “Our greatest honor is the struggle we undertake to ensure peace, security, and the standard of living that the Turkish Cypriot people deserve.”
